DAY 1 - La Paz-Challapampa (3.400 mts./11,155 ft.)
Departure from La Paz to the Summit Cairn (4.900 mts./16,076 ft.); which will be the highest point in this hike. From there it will take about six hours hike to cross Cotapata National Park with lots of wildfire wealth. You will be engulfed by the landscapes beauty – full of snowy mountains in one side and the same trail made out of stones that surely was built during Tiwanaku epoch (Inca culture predecessors) in the other. These trails tell us that inhabitants from this age used them extensively and served as their roads to connect the high plains with the Yungas region. We will arrive to Challapampa where we will take our supper and camp.
DAY 2 - Challapampa-Sandillani (2.000 mts./6,562 ft.)
Our adventure continues going down for about 7 horas towards Yungas region where we will pass by rivers, forests and jungles. Finally we will arrive to Sandillani where a Japanese family living here for many years will offer us a place where to spend the night.
DAY 3 - Sandillani-Chairo-Coroico-La Paz
After the breakfast, we will remember that this is our last day in our hike. We will walk for about 3 hours until Chairo (1.400 mts./4,593 ft.) where we will have our lunch to continue to Coroico (1.800 mts./5,905 ft.) by private bus. Coroico is a vibrant and touristic town surrounded by natural beauty. We will return to La Paz in the evening.
