    Pampas Tour 3D / 2N

Explore the natural beauty of the Bolivian Pampas on this exciting tour. Cruise along the Yacuma River and observe an incredible variety of wildlife, including pink dolphins, caimans, and capybaras. Enjoy guided walks and piranha fishing in a stunning natural setting

We depart from Rurrenabaque at 9:00 A.M. By car passing through some Amazonian villages and small family farms. We arrive at noon in Santa Rosa, a small town on the banks of the Yacuma River. Here we share a traditional Bolivian lunch of hot soup, meat, rice, yucca, vegetables and fresh fruit.
From Santa Rosa, we take a boat trip down the Yacuma River. We drift downstream slowly, careful not to disturb the tranquility of the animals, you will feel that the trees are alive with birds and monkeys, and it is not uncommon for the boat to be escorted by pink freshwater dolphins.
The guide will be happy to stop the boat to show you some animals that are difficult to see often, he will wait for you so you can take amazing pictures of the wildlife and scenery.
Arriving at the Ecolodge around 4:00 PM. You can enjoy a snack and fruit juice, take a shower, or just relax in a hammock for a bit before heading out again. A few minutes downstream, a local family tends a small hut selling wine, cold beer and snacks.
As the sun sets, the pampas awakens, birds and monkeys scream in the dark, and small predators scurry through the bushes in search of their breakfast. We climb into the boat with flashlights in search of the largest predators of all: Caimans. These members of the crocodile family can grow up to 12 feet long. In the dark, they hunt along the river at night, eating snakes, fish and stray birds. Although difficult to see during the day, alligators are easy to find at night. Their eyes reflect the moonlight, glowing red in the dark.

The next morning, we share a healthy meal of eggs, pancakes, pastries and fresh juice.
After breakfast, we will put on high rubber boots (to protect us from snake bites) and head out into the tall grass of Pampas in search of anacondas. These are among the longest non-venomous snakes in the world. It is common to find one 3 or 4 meters long, although some claim to have seen anacondas more than twice this size. After a long morning in the sun, you will probably want to counteract the heat of the day by swimming in the river (use the swimming rope) or lie down for a siesta in the shade.
After lunch, we will head out for a fishing trip. Catching piranhas.
You can take an extra beer for dinner and then we’ll head back to the lodge for a traditional dinner including rice, pasta, salad. Fresh vegetables and bread.
When we finish dinner, the guide will clear the table to introduce us to a Bolivian tradition: chewing coca leaf, a mild stimulant, coca leaves offer energy with just a cup of coffee and is often enjoyed by local families during after-dinner conversations. As night falls, we light the candelabra and invite guests to either chat or play cards.

On the last day, for guests who like to wake up early, we offer a pre sunrise by heading a little way downstream, as the moon sets, Las Pampas begins to prepare for the morning, howler monkeys can be heard along the banks of the river. We arrive at an open spot a few minutes away to slowly watch the spectacular sunrise.
After breakfast, we depart upstream to a small lake where pink dolphins gather to socialize with people. If you like, you are invited to jump into the water for an unforgettable experience of swimming with these rare animals. The dolphins may splash you with water while you are swimming, but it is because they are entertained by your presence.
After swimming with the dolphins, we will return to the lodge for lunch, you will have a chance to take a nap and get your things ready before leaving in the afternoon to return to Rurrenabaque.
