Embark on a full-day adventure and immerse yourself in the natural wonder of Uyuni Salt Flats. Start your day with a visit to the Train Cemetery, immersing yourself in the fascinating history of abandoned locomotives. From there, we’ll continue towards the town of Colchani, located just 30 minutes away from Uyuni, known for its salt exploitation. Along the way, keep an eye out for Andean wildlife, including vicuñas. We’ll also make a stop at a craft museum and a salt processing plant, where you can learn about the salt extraction process.
Next, we’ll enter the mesmerizing Salar de Uyuni, the world’s largest salt flat, spanning over 12,000 km2. Marvel at the vast expanse of salt, the iconic salt mounds, and the captivating salt eyes. Our journey will lead us to Fish Island (Incahuasi), where we’ll embark on a breathtaking 30-minute walk. Take in the awe-inspiring panoramic views of Salar de Uyuni and encounter the world’s oldest cacti, reaching heights of up to 12 meters. Enjoy a delicious lunch at the base of Fish Island, surrounded by this unique natural landscape.
At approximately 4:00 PM, we’ll begin our return journey to the city of Uyuni, arriving at around 5:00 PM.
